Iveco is a multinational manufacturer of light-, medium- and heavy-duty vehicles. Its vehicles are sold in 160 countries around the world.

Iveco is a division of CNH Industrial Group which was formed in 1975 through the merger of several Italian car manufacturers and a German truck company, Magirus-Deutz. The brand is renowned for its high-quality Iveco Car Parts.

    Engines

Engines are machines that convert energy from fuel into mechanical energy and then create motion in a process called combustion. They can be used to power many different types of equipment, including vehicles.

Typically, they consist of a cylinder block and a cylinder head. The cylinder block houses the pistons and other essential engine parts; the cylinder head contains valve-controlled passages for the air and fuel mixture that enters the cylinders, as well as others through which the gases produced by combustion are expelled.

The cylinder block also houses the crankshaft, which converts the reciprocating motion of the pistons into rotary motion at the crankshaft. Often, the cylinder head also houses the camshaft, which operates mechanisms that open and close the valves.

There are many variations of engines, ranging from single-cylinder models to those with eight or more cylinders. They differ in overall size, weight, engine displacement, and cylinder bores.

Inline-fours are among the most common designs, followed by V- and opposed cylinder layouts. The V-engines have a single cylinder in the center, and the opposing cylinders are offset and evenly spaced to provide smooth operation.

Some engines use two-stroke cycles, in which each cylinder is fueled and then completely shut off before starting the next cylinder. These engines offer a high power-to-weight ratio but are less powerful than their four-stroke counterparts.

Most internal combustion engines run on a variety of different types of fuels, most notably gasoline and diesel. But there are also alternative fuels available, such as peanut oil and biofuels.

    Transmissions

Transmissions are a common part of a vehicle’s powertrain, allowing the driver to control the speed and torque that the engine delivers. They also help to manage fuel consumption by reducing parasitic losses.

Conventional automatic transmissions, which are used in many light-duty vehicles, rely on a torque converter, a planetary gear set, clutches, and a gerotor oil pump to deliver the power to the drive wheels. They also include a valve body and hydraulic pressure for clutch clamping, as well as control and diagnostic circuits.

These systems are typically operated with a range of oil pressures from 5 to 20 bar. The relationship between input torque and pressure varies with clutch diameter, number of plates, friction material, and oil properties.

Losses in a transmission can be reduced two main ways: 1. By reducing the amount of energy consumed through friction or 2. By reducing the amount of churning loss that occurs when components rotate through an oil bath.

Churning losses can be reduced by using lower viscosity lubricants or by changing the oil flow in the transmission. In some cases, the amount of churning loss can be reduced by operating the transmission with fully warmed-up transmission oil.

In other cases, the amount of churning can be reduced by using an on-demand or splash lubrication system. These systems typically use a pump to pressurize the oil and are capable of providing lubrication for internal transmission components with much less churning loss than traditional forced lubrication.

While these technologies have the potential to reduce fuel consumption, they do require extensive testing and validation. These tests must also be performed on the vehicle under which the technology is being implemented.

    Brakes

Brakes are a system that uses friction to slow down or stop your car. When the brake pedal is pressed, a lever pushes a piston into the master cylinder which fills with hydraulic fluid, which gets squirted along a series of pipes into wider cylinders on each wheel.

The pressure of the hydraulic fluid forces a brake caliper to squeeze a pair of brake pads against rotating metal discs (the rotors) attached to each wheel. The brake pads create friction that brings the wheels to a stop – much like a coaster brake works on a bicycle.

As the brakes wear, they become less effective and need replacing. The reason for this is that the friction force applied to the braking pads increases with time and therefore the stopping distance is reduced.

Uneven braking is another common problem, with one pad having more wear than the other. This usually points to a problem with the caliper pins, which can corrode and prevent the pad from being forced into the caliper properly.

A faulty caliper can also cause the brakes to pull to one side while you’re trying to brake, which is known as brake fade. If this happens, it’s important to take your car to a specialist who will check the hoses and calipers.

Many cars now have anti-lock brake systems which use sensors to detect when the brakes are starting to fail and send a warning to a central computer. This computer instructs a brake pump to alternately pump and release your braking up to fifteen times per second, allowing your vehicle to slow down without actually stopping, helping you to maintain steering control.

    Radiators

Radiators are important parts of your vehicle’s cooling system. They keep your engine from overheating during driving by circulating coolant through the engine and back again.

When a vehicle’s thermostat senses that the engine is overheating, it will release water and coolant from the radiator. These liquids will circulate through the engine to pick up excess heat, and then they’ll be sent back to the radiator where it will blow air across the fins that help cool down the hot fluid.

Depending on your car or truck’s model, you might have a hot water radiator that uses heated water from a boiler to heat the fluid in the system, or a steam radiator that uses a heat exchanger to transfer the hot liquid to air. Either way, these systems rely on efficient boilers to provide the heat needed to run the cooling system.

A radiator is made of aluminum, and it works by transferring the heat from the hot coolant into the surrounding air and then exchanging it with the cold air outside. You can find radiators in a variety of shapes and sizes, so it’s best to choose one that matches the architectural style of your home.

Modern-day radiators are mainly made of aluminum, but there are also models that use copper and even plastic. They’re available in a range of colors and designs to suit your preferences.

Regardless of the type, you can rest assured that your radiator is working to its fullest potential to keep your engine running at its best. In order to ensure this, you should get a coolant flush every 25,000 miles to remove any contaminants that have built up in the system and condition it to help prevent corrosion and other issues.

    Wheels

Wheels are the main parts of a vehicle that are in motion. They make the vehicle look stylish and provide stability. They are also used to help transport goods. Depending on the type of job the vehicle is assigned to do, there are different types of wheels that can be installed. Whether you are looking to repair your Iveco or purchase new ones, you can find all the parts that you need on NAPAonline. The parts are all manufactured to high standards and designed for optimal performance. They can be purchased online or in your local store.
